Sponsored links

Some links may be sponsored or paid.

Version 1 of the site does not sell those placements. The cards labeled Sponsored are empty slots for Maui businesses that aren't tour companies — a shop, a market, a bakery. They have no outbound link until a real sponsor is there, and the label stays on the card when they do.

Booking links

Book, Reserve, and Open buttons are deep links you complete yourself. A single module builds them so a sponsor or affiliate parameter can be added later without rewriting the plan. Required details — date, time, party size, and the place — are not replaced by those parameters.

An affiliate parameter, if one is added, may mean the site earns a commission when you book on the other site. It does not mean we book it, and it does not change the price you see there. Nothing on Plan My Maui takes a payment.

What we won't label as local

Tour desks don't get the sponsored cards. Those stays are for businesses you'd walk into. Tours already have their own Book link on the day they appear.
